    Violence in the Workplace

    Whitney Warner, Moody & Warner, PC Officers Monclova & Velard of the Farmington Police Department will be discussing issues surrounding violence in the workplace. During this two hour workshop you will learn:

  • CPTED-Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design.

  • Warning Signs - What are some of the common red flags.

  • Reporting - What to report and how to report it. Domestic Violence - What is it, who does it effect and dealing with it at work.

  • What an employer must do legally regarding making the workplace safe.

  • What an employer should do to prevent violence at work and do so legally. Sample policies will be provided and discussed.

  • What an employer can do to assist employees who may be victims away from work and what it can legally communicate about possible threats.

  • New Mexico's laws regarding required leaves of absence for victims of domestic violence and obtain a sample leave policy.
