Patricia (Trish) Abbin started with the NMSBDC at the South Valley in May of 2009 as a Business Specialist. Trish is located at both the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce and the South Valley Economic Development Center. Trish’s professional skills range from business planning, loan packaging, to finances and insurances, her specialties are marketing and finance.
Trish has been in business for herself and still dabbles in it. She has been involved in economic development for several years and has a varied background which helps when assisting her clients, hotel and restaurant management, non-profits, insurance and financial services and training.
Trish holds a BA in foreign languages from the University of NM and an MBA in Global Management from the University of NM and University of Phoenix.
Trish is involved in several community committees, Treasurer for the Board of Encuentro, advisory board for SVEDC, SV Mainstreet, 1 Million Cups and a founder of TAZA, a bilingual business community. She is multi-lingual, speaking Spanish, Portuguese and French (understanding several others). Her hobbies are learning about other cultures, travel and international business affairs.
