Cynthia Jarvison is the Director of the Gallup Branch of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). She comes to the New Mexico SBDC Network from the National Center PTAC Navajo Nation satellite office as a leading business consultant in marketing and new business development. Cyndi has been assigned to the Navajo Nation BIA Region since March 2010 as a Senior Procurement Specialist. Just prior to joining PTAC, she worked four years as a Marketing Manager in business development for a tribally owned 8(a) small business, where she was responsible for identifying sales opportunities and creating marketing strategies.
Cyndi has 20 years of additional experience working with the Navajo Nation Government, which brings a wealth of information and experience to NMSBDC Network. Her positions with the Navajo Nation included Legislative Liaison to the Navajo Nation Speaker, reviewing proposed legislation and organizing public hearings and meetings. In addition, as Special Staff Assistant to the President of the Navajo Nation, she specialized in areas of economic development working within the structures of public and government policy, requiring much tact and diplomacy in dealing with government-to-government requirements and relationships.
Cyndi holds a BBA in Business Marketing Management with a minor in Political Science from the Andersons School of Business Management, University of New Mexico. She is a member of APTAC since 2010 and continues to increase her procurement knowledge by completing Levels I, II and III Defense Acquisition University and other courses as required by the APTAC training plan.
