Taos Celebrates Halloween

The Town of Taos and our Merchant Community are excited to announce a Grab and Go event in the Taos Historic District!  COVID-19 has affected most Town of Taos merchants and local businesses that would normally participate in our annual Halloween Trunk or Treat event downtown. As a result of NM Department of Health guidelines and recommendations, we are hosting a drive-through Grab and Go Halloween Event along Civic Plaza Drive. The Town of Taos Community Events, merchants, and local businesses are providing a Safe and FREE Halloween Event for children of all ages.

Volunteers will fill bags with goodies provided by the Town of Taos, local business sponsors and merchants.  The bags will be handed out to the first 2,500 children on Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (or while supplies last).  The event will take place on Civic Plaza Drive using COVID-Safe practices.  Town staff and community volunteers (gloved and masked) will be on hand to distribute Halloween bags.  All participants must attend in a vehicle; no walk-ups will be permitted.  We are asking families to please remain in their vehicles at all times and children must attend with an adult.  Children do not need to be in costume to receive a bag.
